Going out is great in Atlanta because there are literally hundreds of bars. By then a similar magazine, Southern Seasons, had hit the newsstands. There is one major 'hip hop/rb' club and it is The Park, and I found the patrons to be very stuck up and non sociable.

I found that the nightlife can be very limiting. When I moved to DC, I was shocked and homesick immediately. It did return in 2007 as Atlanta Social Season. I lived in Atlanta from age 22-26ish and here in DC from 26 to 30. In 2006 Lane had hip surgery and shuttered the magazine for nearly a year, unsure it would return. The poor economy has been less of a dilemma for the magazine than other factors.
